Region One Directors
Although we have been in a short travel hiatus, other Region One members are in the thick of their travel plans. I’d like to commend our Arizona Sun Catchers Presidents, Larry & Marj Miller, for taking time out of their Alaska RV journey to partake in a Region Nine Rally. Goes to show that wherever you travel across the U.S. and Canada, there’s a good chance you can add a Newmar rally to your travel schedule. Thanks Larry & Marj for representing Region One at the Region Nine rally!
We made it to the California State Rally in Grass Valley hosted by Bob & Teresa Solomon-Billings and had a great time with awesome food – mostly prepared by Penny & Max Nuttall, thanks so much! We also were given a tour of DeMartini RV of Grass Valley and were treated to a wonderful catered lunch and a tour of the awesome facility they have. They are a fairly new dealer for Newmar and after seeing their facility and speaking with the owners I can see why Newmar chose to give them a dealership. While we were having lunch the owners announced that Newmar had authorized them to sell the full line of coaches through King Aire! Thank you DeMartini for a wonderful afternoon!
We next traveled to the Utah Pathfinders Rally in Coalville, Utah where we were blessed with beautiful weather, a lovely location, and a ton of awesome food. Many thanks to Duane Paige for his flattop skills. A chili/soup contest was held, and participation was phenomenal! Nancy Wills won 1st place in the soup category and Mary’s chili took 1st place in that category. The fishing tournament was a bust because the snow melt had the streams turned into fast-moving rivers and fishing was impossible, just ask Joel Miner. Kudos for the effort Joel!
In a few weeks we will be off on the Newmar Alaska cruise and a few weeks before heading to the New Mexico State Rally in Santa Fe, New Mexico. From there we’re off to the International Rally in Sedalia, Missouri. We are hoping to see many Region One members at the International Rally. Please remember to sign up to volunteer for a time at the volunteer desk at registration.
