California State Directors
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all my fellow Newmar owners. Why both greetings? Why not! By the time this article comes out, we should have had celebrated both holidays in whatever way, fashion or forms you and your family have decided. It does not matter to me if you celebrate or not, just enjoy spending quality time with your loved ones. Speaking of family, Teresa, aka beautiful blond one & I, wish you and your family, friends and all your little fur elf/grinch babies great health and happiness.
Now, what has your California State Directors and Mother-in-Law been involved in or what in the heck are they doing now? Well, to start off I need to back track a few months and bring you up to speed. As you probably know, because you follow our exciting and wild adventures across our country, we left California on April 9. We ventured across the southern portion of the USA and ended up in Maine for the outstanding and beautiful tour of Gaspe’ and the Atlantic Provinces. (This Is a must-see area for all RVers.) From there, we went south for a 10-day tour of fabulous New York City. As wild and crazy the Big Apple is, we enjoyed the tour. After, we ventured south and completed a historic tour of the east coast. WOW, fun filled and action-packed days we had. I know there will be a YouTube video coming out of our historic east coast tour, so hit me up later and I will secretly divulge the site to you after our special handshake and password is given and confirmed. Now with all this excitement over, we sit outside Atlanta at Stone Mountain Park for a few days of rest and relaxation before we head west to prepare for our Rose Parade adventure. All this while driving our beautiful Newmar coach.
Ok, ok, you say, what about California. Well, since we left, the state has not fallen off into the ocean from all the massive earthquakes. There has been lots of wildfires though, the water crises appear to be over, the gas prices are still high. As for the three California chapters of the NKK, Golden Bears, 49ers and the Golden Aires, they are up and running with excited and confident leaders. You can read more about their chapters from their articles.
Hey Newmar Kountry Klub members. The new International Directors are working very hard to make this Kountry Klub a well sought after RV organization people will want to continue in or join. Yes, there will be growing pains as with any organization, many ideas on how to improve, exciting and non-exciting events, but the overall response from Newmar owners should be: I am here for the Kountry Klub, and I will support the Kountry Klub as much as I can. Notice I said as much as I can. Yes, you probably cannot attend each gathering, but we will get stronger as we support the Kountry Klub. But hey, throw a bone their way and their tails will wag.
Well, it is time for me to go. The beautiful blond one is telling me I forgot to do a few items around the coach, the mother-in-law wants her dog taken outside, the sun is starting to settle in the west, OMG, when will it all end? Basically, it’s blah blah blah. But hey dear, it’s the first game of the world series starting soon, please I’ll do it tomorrow! Go Dodgers.
So, until my next new and exciting California State Directors article, stay safe, keep those beautiful Newmar coaches rolling along the highway. We can be reached at email tvsolomon@aol.com or cell 951-634-8065.
