It is with great sadness that we share the news that Steve Brown passed away on May 22, 2024. Steve and his wife of 57 years, Trish, have been members of the Florida Manatees for many years with a long history of contributions to the Newmar Kountry Klub. Trish and Steve sold their Dutch Star last year when they made the decision to move to a retirement facility where Steve could get the care he needed. Our Chapter is very grateful to both for their many years of service.

Geoff & I are on a four month excursion through the Midwest this summer and loving being back on the road again. We kicked off our travels with a week at the first NIRVC 2024 Music City Motorhome Expo in Lebanon, Tennessee.  Newmar President, Casey Tubman, was there all week with his staff promoting the 2025 lineup. Stay tuned for details from Newmar! And of course, the highlight of the week was the final private concert (of three!) featuring country music star Josh Turner! We are visiting some family and Geoff is doing some RV Driver Training, and we may even pick up an RV Inspection or two along the way. By the time you read this we will have attended the International Rally where Debbie Hughes and I have partnered to keep all of you Quilters out there busy sewing blocks for the Quilts of Valor Foundation’s Annual Block Drive.

The Florida Manatees encourage our members to step up and get involved with our Chapter events.  Please contact me if you are willing to be a Chapter Officer. And of course, we are always looking for hosts for future rallies, so raise your hand, and jump in, and have some fun! All that is required is the desire to participate. We have mentors who will show you the way.
