In the words of Darrell & Jeannette Wehmeier, “Greetings from Kansas!” Since the last newsletter that I wrote, we have completed our almost 4-month journey. We ended with almost 9000 miles, 17 States (some twice), Ontario Canada and the International Rally in Sedalia. The Rally was awesome as usual.

Now with the sad news: On the morning of the 7th of October, I received a phone call from Darrell Wehmeier, (Kansas State Directors) that Jeanette had fallen and passed away before medical attendants had arrived. Darrell & Jeannette had assumed the State Directors position several years ago and have done a fantastic job. Jeannette knew her time on this earth was short but always looked to the bright side, trusted in the Lord and always carried a smile on her face. I was able to spend almost a half an hour on the phone with her a couple days prior to the International Rally, as I stated she was a pleasure to chat with. She was very much in love with her husband, and I know Darrell proved that he would do anything for his bride. She is and will be greatly missed by the Kansas Kountry Sunflowers and anyone that knew her.
