Marv & Von Visser – Michigan State Directors
Well, here we are at the end of the Michigan Rally season. Due to cooler weather and units being winterized and put away, or just leaving for the southern points to avoid the cold and snow season. We learn to live with or move south. We attended many rallies this 2024 season, and of course had a wonderful time at each, seen old friends and met new friends. We are starting plans for our 2025 State Rally being held right in our hometown of Zeeland, Michigan. It’s the pre-Tulip Time adventure being held April 30-May 4 at Dutch Treat Campground in Zeeland Michigan. See the Klub Calendar for more info.
Von & I volunteered again at International in July. We had a very busy week doing lots of different things relating to being a volunteer. We ran into a lot of new people working Parking and Registration, neither one of us had time to drive shuttle carts like in the past, but we ended up shuttling people as we had a parking cart so again new friends to meet. We would just like to do a big thank you to all of our volunteers and the RD’s and International Directors for all the pre-planning to make the International Rally work for us all. It always seems no matter where we host the International Rally there are a few glitches and Pueblo was no different, but we overcame them all with the help and understanding of all of the guests at the rally, and to that I want to say Thank You. We look forward to the West Virginia Rally in 2025.
Also, without saying we are very blessed with the Newmar Executives, Newmar Parts and Service to help us out and work with all of us to make things even better. We also don’t want to forget about Linda and Whitney from the Klub Office.
On a different note, we were blessed to have Paul & Donna White camping near us and had many conversations later at night after they walked Maggi, their well-behaved dog. Please keep his family in your prayers as most of us know, he passed away in August. He will be deeply missed by the Newmar Team and the Klub family.
