Almost halfway through the year. Time flies when you are having fun. Pretty soon the days will be getting shorter instead of longer. Starting out a new year is always exciting, and this will be like other years with unknown adventures and anticipated fun times on the road visiting others and family. An added factor this year has been the weather systems moving across the mid-west. Since leaving Louisiana from the Cajun Festival, we have encountered multiple severe weather events. Tornadoes with strong winds and hail seemed to be an everyday event. Thankfully we have been blessed with no direct hits. However, some were rather scary and presented lots of concern.

As we know, bouncing up and down as we travel does cause mishaps. Then our toad, Ford Explorer. The serpentine belt decided it wanted a new home and departed the Explorer, over a weekend no less. Got it replaced Monday with the gracious and friendly Victory Ford service in Dyersville, Iowa. We recommend them if you need repairs or service.

We are still planning our normal service at Gaffney. This month yes, it is June already. This requires a back track east from the Midwest. Of course, we must pay taxes and license registration.

Christmas at the Beach 2024, December 9-13 wraps up the year. Note that this rally has increased length to 4 days. It is still at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. This year the Host will be the South Carolina NKK Palmetto Pals Host Gene & Grace Failmezger and Co-hosted with North Carolina NKK Tar Heels; John & Joan Bower.
