The summer travel season is winding down and with it we file away the memories of the places we’ve visited and the friendships we’ve made. Concluded 2025 special events include Washington D.C., the Maritimes Caravan, the Alaska Caravan, Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, and the Black Hills Special Event. How did they go? We invite you to talk to any of these event participants to find out for yourself.
There are still special event opportunities available this year. Bourbon, Vines and Valor will be exploring Fredericksburg, Texas in November, also with space still available. The Panama Canal cruise embarks at the end of November, while Islands in the Sun invites you to experience the Florida Keys in December. The Pasadena Rose Parade brings 2025 to a close and rings in the New Year. Limited space is still available.
2026 is filling up quickly. The Route 66 Centennial Caravan next Spring (April to mid-May) is filling up fast; there are still limited spaces available. Empires of the Mediterranean cruise promises to be a bucket list event and is currently open for registration.
Still in the planning phase for 2026 is 4 Corners—All Squared Away, an active event visiting Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona with hiking, biking, and 4-wheeling options. for those interested in a slightly more active adventure. Also under current consideration is a renewal of the Branson Special Event. At this time the exact timing for Branson has not been finalized but will probably be in the last quarter of 2026. Lastly, The Star Princess, newest ship in the Princess Line, will leave Ft. Lauderdale in December 2026 for the NKK Caribbean Cruise.
Still in the very preliminary planning phase for 2027 is a renewal of the Alaska Cruise. Also being planned for 2027 is a Coastal California special event. Stay tuned as these plans are firmed up.
These events and cruises are a significant investment in your future travel. As you make plans to attend a special event or special event cruise, we strongly encourage you to explore trip insurance to protect that investment. None of us ever expect that we won’t be able to complete next year’s travel schedule, but life happens, sometimes in the blink of an eye. Trip insurance (also referred to as travel insurance) can protect your investment for a relatively small amount. Policies can be customized by you and your agent for what you want the policy to cover. So, the next time you consider signing up for a special event or a special event cruise, consider trip insurance. You can check with your own insurance agent or speak to one of the insurance carriers below who specializes in trip insurance:
