Are you interested in spending a day exploring a small portion of what the Show Me State has to offer? Our first stop will be the Arabia Steamboat Museum, a 30,000 square foot museum which opened in November 1991. The Arabia was a stern-wheel steamboat which sank fully loaded on the Missouri River in 1856. The wreckage was discovered in 1988 buried in a field near the small town of Arrow Rock, Missouri. The wreck was subsequently excavated, and the result is the collection we will visit. Docents will be available during our visit to enhance your experience. The next stop on our tour will be Jack Stack Freight House Restaurant located in the Crossroads Art District in the heart of Kansas City, where we will enjoy a sumptuous Kansas City style barbeque buffet lunch. Following our meal, our final stop will be the Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri. This stop will chronicle the history of Harry S. Truman, our 33rd president and Missouri native son, during some of the most consequential years in United States history. Docents will be available during our stay to answer any questions and provide additional insight.
Price per person: $135.00 – includes luxury motorcoach transportation, buffet lunch, admission fees, taxes and gratuities.
