We have been busy traveling between Washington and Oregon for months now. Burning up the pavement on Interstate 5, Interstate 90, Highway 2 and enjoying every mile that rushes under our wheels.
The final touches are being put on the Washington State rally in September. Most everything in the state is open and we are looking forward to having a great time in the Tri-Cities. If you have not yet registered, it is now unfortunately, too late. Registration is full and we will miss you.
The Evergreen Aires chapter rally in Mossyrock, Washington was a blast. It started and ended with rain but in between those showers we were blessed with sunshine and warm temperatures. There were 14 coaches in attendance. It was wonderful to see old friends and to meet and welcome new friends. Former Region Two Directors, Mike & Carol Lowery have been VERY busy supporting the Newmar Kountry Klub for over 25 years! Carol showed off a few of the rally and caravan bars they have collected. She really needs to get a second lanyard!
Our rally hosts did a terrific job with the food and games. As always no one went hungry, and we congratulate our new corn hole champions; Steve & Kathy Morse. We all took a day trip up toward Mt. Rainier and had lunch at one of the oldest restaurants in the state with some of the best blackberry pie you will ever taste. The rest of the story I will leave for Terry & Terri to tell.
On a personal note, our oldest grandson, Nick, graduated from Regents University School of Law, and our youngest grandson, Luke, graduated from high school in June. Nick has taken a position with a law firm in Phoenix, and Luke will be attending Grand Canyon University this fall. We are very proud of both.
And still, on another personal note, we will greatly miss our Guaranty Travelers club. Thank you to Shannon and Barbara Nill (of Guaranty RV in Oregon) for 24 years of great travel experiences throughout the western states and Canada.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the rally in September. Until then, happy trails and happy glamping.
