Texas State Directors

This is our first opportunity to share Texas news with the rest of our Newmar community. As new Texas State Directors, we want to thank our out-going directors, Randall & Kathleen Haydon for serving for the last three years. You have moved our Klub forward, and we want to thank you for all the work you have done. Texas has struggled through the past two years with the pandemic, but it looks like we may be seeing more opportunities for us to use our beautiful coaches and spend time with our friends.

We finished our year with a great rally in Bandera. At that time, we elected new officers who will serve for the next year. We welcome Ted Wagner- President; Annette Espinoza – Vice President; Diana Fickinger- Secretary; and Sue Milgrom – Treasurer. Thank you for stepping up and helping to keep our chapter strong. We finished the year with a membership of 70 coaches. Of course, not all participate in every rally, but we are fortunate to have a very active group. We have already booked rallies for March, April, October, and November. The specifics are listed below. We hope to have our state rally location and dates available very soon.

For those of you who don’t know us, we are Mike & Kathy Hutchens. We live in the small community of Sweeny which is located about 65 miles southwest of Houston. We have been RVing about ten years and have had the pleasure of owning and loving three Newmar Dutch Stars. Thus far, we have had our coach in 46 of the lower 48 states (just missing Vermont and West Virginia.) Both of us have retired from the Fire Service and have a combined total of about 80 years in that field. We loved it but are happily retired! We are looking forward to meeting many more of you in our travels. Until then, we hope your Christmas season was filled with joy and that you have a prosperous, safe, and happy New Year.
