Larry & Patsy Wood (12255-L)
Region Three Directors
What a busy couple of months we have had! We feel blessed to have our health and to be able to travel and visit with friends and family.
After our Region Three Rally at the end of April, we hosted the Wood family reunion. Forty-five relatives from across the United States were here—some for a week. We used all four of our bedrooms in the house and moved the motor home to the driveway so three more had a place to stay. It was hectic but fun. Two days after the last “Wood” left, Patsy had her family reunion.
In June we traveled to Carthage, Missouri, for the Kansas State Rally. Darrell & Jeanette Wehmeier were our hosts, and they did an excellent job! Barbeque the first night was excellent! Be sure to ask Darrell for his cookie and carrot cake recipes. Who knew he was such a good cook! After our pancake and sausage breakfast Friday morning, we were off to the Missouri State Rally, which was held in lovely Hermann, Missouri. Dave & Barbara Burtrum were great hosts.
Next stop on the way back to Oklahoma was a visit to Patsy’s daughter in Emminence, Missouri, for a few days. Once we got back home to Jenks, we spent a few days to catch our breath, then left on June 22 for a few stops before we arrived in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on June 28 to begin preparing for the International Rally. Almost a month later, the International Rally was another page in the history book, and we were once again back home.
