Oklahoma State Directors
Well, the Oklahoma winter has certainly been strange this year. We are currently on our fourth or fifth cycle of having a couple of good days, followed by a couple of unseasonably great days, and then falling to the teens with frozen “stuff” falling from the sky the very next day. Makes it a little difficult to get out in your coach for a few days.
We are still getting used to the schedule for writing the articles and when they come out. We just got our February/March issue five days ago and our next submission is due tomorrow. We are looking forward to attending the Region Three Rally. Although it is in late April, if your magazine arrives like ours, you may have already attended by the time you get this. We hope to see several of you there.
Next up is the International Rally. This will be the first time attending for Natalie and me. As we understand, the parking is quite a bit different than from previous years. Since this will our first time, we won’t know any different. However, for all the veteran attendees, be sure to read the information packet to understand the different process to help reduce frustration all the way around. If you have registered, you probably should already have received your packet. Ours came in about a week.
Region Three is responsible for parking and registration, but I am sure that there are still lots of volunteer opportunities remaining for those or others if you are interested. This issue of the Legacy magazine has a list of volunteer opportunities. You can email the contact person listed or the NKK office for more information or to get signed up.
We are still working on location and dates for the fall rally. It will probably be mid-October. By the next time this comes out, we should have a location and date set and working on cost and activities.
