Greetings from the Sooner State! As I sit here on my patio reflecting on the past and thinking about the future, there are several things come to mind. Like everyone, I’m glad the worst of the pandemic is behind us and, like everyone, I’m troubled and curious as to how it started. I’m troubled by the fact that the country is changing and our old traditions are fading. I’m troubled that on Flag Day this year, myself and one other person on my block actually flew an American flag. And yet, as we travel the country, almost every RV resort or park we pull into, we immediately notice the amount of flags being flown by RV’ers. Wondering why that is? I can only assume it’s because we are an older generation. Thanks to all of you who show your allegiance and love for America and it’s values by flying your flag! Now on to other stuff.
As I write this, we are getting ready to leave for a month long trip that will include the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Looking forward to seeing new friends and new coaches as well as attending several seminars. Then it will be on to the Region Three Rally in Vidalia, Louisiana. Looking at the itinerary, this looks to be a great time. Region Three Director Larry & Patsy Wood always have lots to do and eat! After a couple short trips, it’s on to Tucson, Arizona for Thanksgiving with my friends Charlie & Bette Wood and Lee & Nancy Allen. After two weeks there, it’s back home for a short while and then off to Gulf Waters RV resort for Christmas and New Years and closing out another traveling year.
I’m always intrigued by the number of 5 and 6 year old coaches that have very low mileage. Folks, you have a beautiful Motor Coach in Newmar! Get out and enjoy it! There is sooo much to do, see and enjoy in this country! So before life passes you by, get to traveling! God bless each and every one of you!
