COVID-19 Mask Compliance: In our travels this year, we camped in six states (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas), and found the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) to have the most compliant COVID-19 residents. Having been in the valley for two months, we have never seen an individual in a store not wearing a mask. And mask slippage is nearly non-existent; except for a few winter Texans. At our home (Topeka, Kansas), there are mandatory mask requirements, yet almost everyday someone could be seen walking around without a mask in a retail establishment. Mask slippage was an everyday event in Topeka, Kansas.
200 or higher is a BAD blood pressure number! Jeanette was stepping out of the shower at 6am on the morning of Christmas Eve, when a phone call from a park resident called about concerns over her blood pressure. Jeanette quickly dashed down the block to the individual, and checked her blood pressure, which read 210/104. Folks, if you ever see the number 200 in your blood pressure machine, contact medical personnel immediately. Jeanette called 911 and an ambulance was there within 5 minutes.
