Hello fellow Newmar Kountry Klub members. It’s a beautiful spring day to be cooped up on the farm in West Virginia. The social distancing gives us time to enjoy the singing birds and the morning turkey calls. I can watch squirrels scurrying in the woods out my office window and, on occasion, deer will walk by and stare in at me. Although we are staying close, there is much to enjoy in the hills of West Virginia.
Beth has kept me busy as she does the spring house cleaning. We bought a new vacuum cleaner and it’s been put to good use. Beth has cleaned the patio with the power washer and we are growing a flower pot garden. The old place hasn’t looked this good in years.
Bill bought a 3-D printer and has had great fun making gadgets for our home and for our friends. My seventh soap dish is printing as we compose this. It’s fascinating to watch it work.
We also bought a new red Ford F-150 and set it up to tow so we can bring our mini golf cart to rallies. It has all the new technology and Beth likes it. The electric running boards were the key factor in the purchase making access easier for both of us.
We are missing all the folks at church and the soup kitchen, as we suspended it in March. We all stay in touch and are now having church by Zoom. Zoom is a great technological innovation providing a wonderful way to see smiling faces while social distancing.
We also miss our Newmar Family and look forward to getting to see them in the future. We keep in touch with Region VI on Facebook.
In a little over a year, we look forward to welcoming the 2021 Newmar Kountry Klub International Rally to beautiful Lewisburg, WV at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds. It is a beautiful location about 135 miles south of Jane Lew, our home town. It’s about a three hour drive over the mountains to get there, but it’s always a beautiful drive.
Over the next few issues we plan to give you suggestions of places to go and things to see while you are in West Virginia. West Virginia has some of the most spectacular scenery around and we would love to share it with you.
Make your plans now to visit our Wild Wonderful state next year. See you then!
