The year 2020 comes to an end as we write this article. Oh, how we are hoping this COVID-19 will get under control so everyone can get back to the “new normal”. There have been no get-togethers with our Newmar Kountry Klub friends since the one-and-only BKT-Rally in October at Tappan Lake State Park, Ohio… that was a fine/fun rally. We put the RV in storage and have not done any real travelling since then.

We go out to the store for groceries, necessities and post-ops Dr. visits following Bev’s knee surgery. We have been as safe as we can be whenever we venture out and away from home. Two of our neighbors have gotten the COVID-19 virus but have since recovered. We keep our distance from them and so far, we have stayed healthy.

The Holidays have come and gone now and as you can tell by now, there hasn’t been much for us to write about since the last Konnection issue. Except: Before Christmas someone warned Flash that if he had been naughty last year, he probably would not get any Christmas presents, he just might get Coal. On the other hand, since Beverly has been SOOO nice ALL year (they thought) she should get Gold. Guess what? WE…both got Coal for Christmas. We hope you all were nice, and your Holidays were too. (Now, what to do with all this coal).

By this time, we should start thinking about the new 2021 RV camping season. For us it will begin May 16-20 with the Region Six Rally in Shipshewana, Indiana. After that, the BKT has rallies planned for June 11-13, August 13-15 and October 8-10. Our Ohio State Rally will be September 22-25 in Lima, Ohio. The BKT membership has steadily been growing. This year we began with 30+ members and we expect a few more NKK owners will join shortly. We also hope more folks will mark their rally calendars this year and come join us for some BKT-Rally-Fun.

With the growing BKT membership, we have been asked to investigate the possibility of forming another Ohio chapter. As membership grows so does the problem of finding campgrounds that will allow 20-30 RV’s parking together. We hope the COVID-19 pandemic decreases in early 2021. When/if that occurs, we will contact and try to meet with Newmar owners that are registered here in Ohio. If you are interested in helping us start a new chapter or becoming one of the new chapter officers, please let us know. We welcome Klub member input.
