Welcome to all the new members of the Lake Erie Drifters. Our chapter was chartered at the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia on July 18, 2021. Our charter number is 99. We had the support of five states in forming our new chapter: Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia and Arizona. We are very appreciative of all these members! We had 26 charter members that signed our charter! Only six members are needed to start a new chapter! Before the end of the International Rally we had two more couples join our chapter. Just yesterday we talked with another couple that wants to join as well. This chapter was formed because of the growing number of Newmar owners in Ohio.
While making plans for future rallies please take into account the opportunities afforded to all of us by having two chapters in Ohio. Meaning if you can’t make a Lake Erie Drifters rally try and make a Buckeye Kountry Travelers rally. We are going to set up rallies on the alternating weekends with the Buckeye Kountry Travelers which will give every Ohio member the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy their coach more.
As I write this we have scheduled two rallies for this new chapter! Members by the time you read this we will have had our first pop-up rally held at Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio. This rally was a great way to meet and get to know each other.
Our second rally was held at The Resort at Erie Landing in Port Clinton, Ohio. We discussed what we would like to do for future rallies and places we would like to visit. We will hopefully have some rallies scheduled for next year by the time the next issue of the magazine comes out.
Please keep in mind the Buckeye Kountry Travelers are a part of our great state. Anyone in the chapter that wants a copy of the bylaws, please contact us and we will send you a copy. Below is the list of officers for our new chapter.
