Can you believe it, we are already in the middle of summer, lots of rallies are already in the books, and Rock Springs is in process or already done for our International Rally!

Von & I attended the Florida State Rally in April. This was the first time in four visits to Florida that we had beautiful weather and got a little sunburn. We saw sights that we never would have planned even though we have been in this area many times. After the rally we took an extra week to enjoy a little warm weather.

Again, we’re reminded that we see friends and meet new ones at the rallies. Yes, most of the attendees are Florida residents, but there were many who came before heading home to the northern states, and we now have more friends to see when we get to other rallies or look up at International.

On one of our adventures to Florida, we received a little stone chip and I thought, I will have that repaired at home. Well we did, but then needed a completely new windshield, so lesson learned.

Have a chip, get it fixed ASAP! When traveling be on the lookout for the stone slingers. They come in all shapes and sizes, trucks, pickup trucks, jeeps with wide tires, cars and trucks that just got on the Highway off side roads jumping in front of us throwing rocks from their tires. Construction areas have lots of road hazards in them, don’t follow them so close to these hazards. Yes, I know we all know this, but it’s a good reminder as we roll down the road to our destination as all the roads we travel are not in great condition. After all, we live in Michigan and we can tell you our roads are poor.

Looking forward, plan a trip to a Michigan rally! We have a beautiful state to explore.

Be safe, travel as much as you can, meet new people, and invite others to join the Klub and chapters. Be friendly to all! It’s a great adventure we get to do in our Newmar homes.
