Hello to all NKK members especially those who live in the great state of Michigan! We are just back from our Michigan State Rally in Sault Saint Marie. It was glorious! We especially liked the Soo Locks boat tour and of course the incredible hospitality we experienced from our State Directors Marv & Von Visser – Thank You! A quick note to those who were there, Paul successfully completed the 8.2 mile swim around Mackinac Island the following weekend.

As this is written, up next for the Michigan Aire Kampers is the Muskegon Rally September 30-October 3. We have a fun weekend planned starting on Friday afternoon with a tour of one of two LST (Landing Ship Tank) museums in the country (dubbed Long Slow Target by those serving on them). We learned that our NKK Members-at-Large Evan Hughes’ father actually served on an LST during WWII. We will have opportunities to see the fantastic sunsets over Lake Michigan and shop at Muskegon’s Farmers Market. We hope you were able to join us.
