Hello to all NKK members, especially those who live in the great state of Michigan! Our 2022 has been filled with WONDERFUL times meeting and reconnecting with all of you! Thank You to our rally hosts for creating opportunities to visit/tour new places, explore our beautiful country, and enjoy delicious meals! We are currently in Sault Sainte Marie enjoying a GREAT joint Great Lakers rally filled with ship watching, a Soo Lock boat tour, evening visit with our boat tour captain and his wife, Indy Race watching, crochet potholder making, discussing RV topics, telling other campground Newmar owners about NKK, sharing stories/experiences, creating new memories, laughing about old memories, rain/sunshine/cool weather, delicious food, evening fires, etc. We are blessed to have NKK opportunities to enjoy our Newmar RV life!
September 23-25: We are excited to have our Fall Michigan Great Lakers/Michigan Aire Kampers Joint Chapter Rally at the beautiful Thunder Bay Golf and RV Resort in Hillman, Michigan (near Alpena)! Our dates show an arrival of September 23 (Friday) and departure September 25 (Sunday). Early arrival September 22 (Thursday). Come earlier or stay later! Discounted golf for RV park guests. Friday evening we’re at the Thunder Bay Clubhouse Grill for dinner featuring a fish fry or your choice. Saturday is an Alpena Shipwreck Tour with an evening potluck (meat provided). Explore the shipwrecks of Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary aboard the glass bottom boat Lady Michigan. Our large viewing wells allow you to dive the wrecks—without getting wet! During the two-hour cruise, you will explore magnificently preserved shipwrecks and experience the history, legends, and lore of Shipwreck Alley. The Lady Michigan is also the perfect way to view Lake Huron’s beautiful shorelines and working waterfront.
To make RV site reservations: Contact Thunder Bay and tell them you are part of the Newmar Michigan Aires. You can put down a $25.00 deposit or pay the entire bill when making the reservation ($55.00 per night). Rally Fee: $100.00/two people in a unit | $50/single person in a unit.
