Indiana State Directors
We are trying something new this year, going to the “Ramblin’ Pushers Maintenance Session” at the Elkhart County Fairground in Goshen, Indiana, April 28 – May 5. This is a rally similar to the NKK International Rally in that it has seminars, vendors, meals, ICE CREAM, entertainment and lots of factory techs running around the grounds performing whatever levels of maintenance they can on site.
The group is an off-shoot of the Holiday Rambler owners club and the sponsor of the session is the REV Group. The Maintenance Session has, in past years, been limited to the REV family of RV brands. This year the session is open to Newmar, Tiffin and Entegra as well. The RVs must be diesel pushers. The expected attendance is in excess of 200 coaches. Sounds like it should be both interesting and a lot of fun.
As we said in our last article, our 2022 Indiana State Rally will be held at the Hogback Lake KOA at Angola, Indiana, June 22-26. We are having a Cowboy theme, so bring your boots and your 10-gallon hats. Also, we will have a chili making contest and subsequent chili supper. Dig out your favorite recipe and fixin’s. Cornbread and “long little doggies” will be provided. Our sites are adjacent to, or very close to, the campground’s catch and release fishing pond. As it is a private pond, no fishing license is required. We are told by the campground they are 100% sold out during our rally dates. If any of our planned attendees need to cancel, we ask them to notify us before they notify the KOA so we can capture the site for one of our standbys. If you want to be on our standby list, please contact us.
The Hoosier Kountry Klub will have a joint rally with the Lake Erie Drifters September 12-16 at the Sauder Village Campground in Archbold, Ohio. Sauder Village will be having their own in-house Apple Fest activities on September 14-17. The rally fee is $60 per person which covers Monday Meet & Greet, Tuesday evening meal, Thursday buffet dinner at “The Barn Restaurant” and Friday morning social. The Sauder Village Living History Museum is available with a one-day pass for $20 or a two-day pass for $30 per person.
Camping reservations are to be made with the campground. You must call Sauder Village at 419-445-6408 for reservations and refer to Booking Code 10222 – Hoosier Kountry Klub. FHU Back-In sites are: (Sun – Thur) $38, (Fri – Sat) $42 per night. Pull Thru sites are electric only – (Sun – Thur) $29, (Fri – Sat) $34 per night. Sites are currently being held for September 12 – 18, but actual rally dates are September 12 – 16. Sites MUST be booked by August 1, 2022.

Did you know, tomato juice was first served at a French Lick, Indiana hotel in 1925? Wow….
Did you know knowledge is knowing a tomato is a FRUIT? Wisdom is not putting tomatoes in a FRUIT salad.
We look forward to seeing you all soon and frequently. Travel safely and stay safe….
