At the time of this writing, we have just had our 2002 Dutch Star into “The Mothership” for a few repairs. We were very impressed with how things are done and how well we were treated at the facility, even with an out of warranty coach. Our assigned Tech was very knowledgeable and familiar with our coach and he was very pleasant to work with… even at 6:30 on a Monday morning. And, the “famous” Sue, who is the receptionist at the Service Center, was very cheerful and charming at that early hour of the morning. Overall, our experience with the Newmar Customer Service Center was very positive and pleasant.

As December is coming to a close, the weather is very mild in Northern Indiana and we are preparing for our upcoming trip to the Sunshine State to see family and friends and to go to the Tampa Super Show and Newmar Kountry Klub Rally. “Chocolate Charlie” is currently in winter storage, but we will have to wake him up again soon and get him ready for the trip. We both have siblings that winter in the Fort Myers and North Port area so we will spend some time making family visits as well as looking up a number of our camping friends who are also wintering in the area – busy times.

We are hoping the road crews will continue to keep the roads clean and dry from Northern Indiana to Central Florida and back during the month of January.

We have booked spaces for the 2022 Indiana State Rally at the Hogback Lake KOA at Angola, Indiana, for the dates of June 22 arrival and June 26 departure. Our reservation block was closed October 31st. It is a big campground and, if you wish to attend the rally, you should contact the campground to see if they have any spaces available. And, a couple more random thoughts – again not mine but still good:
• I’ve always had an irrational fear of speed bumps, but I’m slowly getting over it.
• If we’re not supposed to eat at night, how come there’s a light in the refrigerator?
