Region Seven Directors
Greetings from Region Seven! Our winter in Florida has been a little cooler than normal but no complaints here! We should be home in Rhode Island by May 1st. We have one stop to make on the way and that will be at Freightliner in Gaffney, South Carolina for our coach’s yearly checkup. The coach has been running great, and we want to keep it that way!
We were at the Tampa RV Show in January 2022 to volunteer with setup, parking and running the Kountry Klub booth at the show located in the North Trail venue. We want to thank North Trail again for letting us be a small part of their display. It gives us the opportunity to meet new owners of Newmars and current owners and invite them to joining our Klub. We find all the time that there are so many owners out there that don’t even know about the Klub. This is especially true about second or third, etc. owners. With that being said- please do not hesitate to introduce yourselves to Newmar owners in your travels. Most are very receptive to hearing about us and all the fun we have. We would like to thank our members that volunteered to help us keep our booth open at the North Trail venue at the Tampa RV show. Your support and enthusiasm helps make our Klub what it is today!
Well—International is around the corner and we hope to see many of you there! It will be our last International Rally as your Region Seven Directors! We will be stepping down as RDs effective August 31, 2022. Our decision to step down was not an easy one, but it is time for one of our members to step up into this position and contribute new ideas. We are into our ninth year, and taking a look back at what Region Seven has accomplished over these nine years, we know we are leaving the new Region Directors in a good place with a thriving region under very capable and supportive State Directors and Chapters. On December 1, 2013 we were asked to take this position by Jim and Wilma Weeks, International Directors at the time, and accepted the challenge and the rest as they say is history. We set our goals for the region’s growth, and we are happy to say we started three new chapters and are still working on getting one in Maryland and Delaware.
We will remain active in the Klub and will be available to help mentor the new directors any way we can. We want to thank the Newmar Kountry Klub for this opportunity to serve as Region Directors and will never forget our Newmar family!
We all have “Bucket Lists” right? Well, we do and we are about to check one of them off right after International this year. We are headed to Alaska for the trip of a lifetime with two couples from our region. A little mini caravan! We have spent many hours tweaking our plans and making reservations and…“We Are A Go!!” We will be away from Rhode Island about ten months taking in all that we can. Our trip will end with us staying in Yuma, Arizona for the winter months of 2022-2023! We’re trading in our lush green Florida for the dry brown of Arizona. It will be different, but as we said, another check off the bucket list.
My name is “Newmar.” I’m from Maryland, the newest member in the state.
I am now officially the mascot for Region Seven. I’m 90 days old. I love people and can’t wait to see you at a rally! I love belly rubs and love to play before nap time! My parents are Kendall and Gina Jaeger.
Hope to see many of you at International Rally in Rock Springs, Wyoming July 16-23, 2022. Until we meet again, travel safe!
