Jon C. & Roxann Yon (24213)
West Penn Travelers – Presidents
By the time this article is published our June 6-10 Pittsburgh Rally will be complete … rally hosts Paul & Joan Robbins should be basking in the praise of a well planned and executed event … and … Roxann & I will be well on the way to new and exciting adventures that this lifestyle affords all of us. We will be anxious to share rally highlights and images in a future issue of the Legacy.
One bit of information from our Pittsburgh rally that I would like to share with everyone deals with our charitable efforts. Both Pennsylvania chapters … West Penn Travelers and Penn’s Friends … have been asked to staff and coordinate the “Sharing and Caring” booth at July’s International Rally. In a nod to that activity, our Chapter officers decided to designate the International Caring and Sharing effort as the beneficiary of our Pittsburgh Rally. Although I cannot yet share the tally from our rally charities, I would ask other Chapters … and all Kountry Klub members … to consider adding your gift to the Int’l C&S efforts. For more details, please check out page 53 in the April/May issue of the Legacy.
The annual meeting of the West Penn Travelers Chapter will occur during the September Penn’s Friends Rally in Elizabethtown (Pennsylvania). This will include election of officers and decisions on next year’s rally hosts and location. If you would like to help lead this chapter as an officer or if you have ideas for our next rally, please send that info to Tom Watson (tom.casawatson@gmail.com) or Jon Yon (jyon@atlanticbb.net) by June 30.
Roxann & I hope to run into old and new NKK friends throughout this next travel season. It is so much fun to share tales of adventures, trade maintenance and repair tips, exchange recipes, and … especially … discover how all of you jam so much stuff into your coach basements. Until we meet:
Keep your black tanks down, your antennas up, and a fair wind behind your TOAD.
