West Penn Travelers – Presidents

Our Pittsburgh Rally was a tremendous success. Attendees were able to experience the essence of “the Burg” by street, river, and taste bud. Thirty-seven individuals in 17 coaches gathered at Fox Den Acres Campground at New Stanton (PA) for a mid-week rally (June 6-10). Activities arranged by our hosts, Paul & Joan Robbins, included trips to Revolutionary War Fort Ligonier, the historic steel mills of Carrie Furnace, and a bus and river boat tour of downtown Pittsburgh. Between the Pierogies, Haluski, Halupki and a traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table…this was definitely a five-pound rally. Thanks to Paul & Joan for putting together such a wonderful rally.

Members of West Penn Travelers were also represented at several other events. Roxann & I were joined by Dave, Susie and Helenka Foley at the Region Six Rally in Berea (Ohio) in mid-March. Tom & Sallie Watson joined Roxann & me as we travelled to the West Virginia State Rally en route to our own Pittsburgh Rally. Seven coaches from both Pennsylvania chapters represented our state at the International Rally in Rock Springs (Wyoming). Members of the W.P.T. are very excited to travel to Hershey (Pennsylvania) in September to join our sister chapter, Penn’s Friends, at their fall rally. Until we next see you…
