Penn’s Friends – Presidents
Hello to all the Penn’s Friends and Newmar owners. This is an early article due to the International Rally effecting the normal time between articles.
As this is written we are at home right now, getting ready to go to West Penn’s rally. Looks to be a fun-filled event from June 6-10. It seems like we just put our RV away from coming back from Florida and that was much later than usual. Writing this letter on June 1st and thinking about the effects of the high fuel price is for diesel. As we traveled up north the price in Pennsylvania is a dollar more per gallon of diesel than other states. We also noticed that when we were down on the Chesapeake Bay the price of diesel was almost $7.00 per gallon. Well on the bright side for us is, we do not have any long trips scheduled for this year. We were planning on going to International Rally, but cruise to Alaska which was cancelled for the last two years is at the same time. Original date was our 50th wedding anniversary, now it will be 52 years.
This is a reminder for Penn’s Friends Rally starting on September 21_ 25 at the Hershey Road Campground in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Brian Hubler has completed our schedule of activities and will have a lot of great tours and meals. Brian did a good job on our last rally, and I am sure it will be enjoyable to all. Another great part of the rally is to get together and see all the friends from Penn’s Friends and all Kountry Klub members and future ones. September is a good time of the year to enjoy RVing, hope to see you there.
The Penn’s Friends rally is around the corner, so call and reserve your spot. The RV spot cost is $450, and a deposit is required for reservation. Rally fee of $100 dollars per person.
