The month of January started off great. We were able to spend the week at the Tampa Super Show and see a lot of our friends from Newmar Kountry Klub that we haven’t seen in quite some time. This also gave us an opportunity to volunteer at the Kountry Klub Booth introducing the Kountry Klub to new owners or Newmar owners who were not familiar with the Klub. We also had the opportunity to listen to the Executives from Newmar Corp. One of their biggest challenges is the supply chain issues and getting all the parts they need to put the coaches together as they are coming down the assembly line.
We have had a number of opportunities to have one-on-one lunches with some of our Klub members. We also had a get together with some of our West Penn Travelers members (four couples) at the RV lot of Tom & Sallie Watson in Labelle, Florida. Sallie put on a wonderful lunch of make-your-own wraps which was fun. While there, we did some game planning on the West Penn Travelers Pittsburg Rally which is going to be an exciting event in June, hosted by Paul & Joan Robbins. The dates are Monday, June 6th-Friday, June 10th at Fox Den Acres Campground. This is going to be a big and busy rally which will include tour of Fort Ligonier, tour of Carrie Blast Furnace, Bubushka and Hard Hat lunch at Pump House, Boat tour of the Three Rivers and much more. It will be listed on the Klub Calendar for more information.
The Penn’s Friends has scheduled their next rally for September 21-25 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This will be at the Hershey Road Campground, and we are limited to 17 sites. The agenda is just now being set up, but you know Hershey is the Chocolate Capital of the World so you can count on that being part of it. There will be more information to come in the next issue on this rally.
The other day we had Ron & Wanda Llewellyn for lunch as they have asked Penn’s Friends and West Penn Travelers to again take charge of the Charity Sponsorship for the International Rally in Wyoming. They will be making the necessary announcement in this/next edition of Legacy with who our Charities will be this year.
We’re excited about attending the International Rally with so much to see and do on the way out as well as everything to do there in Wyoming. Ron & Wanda shared with us the registration numbers are already over 400 coaches; that is very exciting.
Keep a smile on your face and the shiny side up, and hopefully our paths will cross sometime between now and Wyoming!
