The Garden Aires Rally was a great success! We had 11 coaches at the Philadelphia South/Clarksboro KOA in Clarksboro, New Jersey. The weather was hot with a rainstorm at night after our get together around the campfire. Yes, even though it was hot we had a wonderful time socializing, and getting back to some sort of new normal after 2020 with everything being cancelled.
Colin and I would like to thank all of the help that we received from all participants to make this “our very first rally” a great success! Michael Agrati along with his wife Barbara did a fantastic job cooking our meals on the grill as hot as it was. Thank you both, the food was great! Our last evening we had Mission BBQ cater our dinner and it couldn’t have been any better. Our server Emily who brought and set everything up also gave us the history behind Mission BBQ. They opened its doors for business on September 11, 2011. The founders Bill and Newt were two friends passionate about BBQ, patriotic for our Country, and who believe in running a business with meaning and purpose. “We do what we do for the love of our soldiers, firefighters, police officers, first responders-all our loved ones in service.”
All the freshest meat is hand rubbed and smoked overnight and served it to you in a patriotic dining room filled with tributes to those who’ve made our Country given to us by the people who earned them.
Stop by at lunchtime, and you might catch us during our daily salute to the Stars and Stripes. Yes, Colin and I have been there at lunchtime to salute the Stars and Stripes. It’s very moving!
At the end of our rally we had six coaches who traveled together to the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia and were able to boondock together on the Thursday night before the International began. Once we all got settled in Colin and I pulled out our grill and had dinner everyone who traveled together. Boy, was that nice sitting all together next to our coach in line with all the other members. So great to keep the socializing going. We totally enjoyed each and everyone’s company!
At the International we were able to meet a new member of the Kountry Klub and speak with them about joining the New Jersey Garden Aires. We have learned that they have joined so, Colin and I would like to welcome Mickey and Lucy as new members of the Garden Aires. Welcome! Can’t wait to see you down the road or at one of our rallies.
The Newmar Tech and Suppliers did a fantastic job of reaching and working on everyone’s coach that was in need of their services. A great big Thank You goes out to them all!
So now it’s time to get our rallies scheduled for next year.
