Region One Directors
Welcome to the February/March edition of the Region One Legacy magazine articles. I am sitting in my cozy family room watching the Rose Bowl Parade on TV as I write this article. Welcome to 2022!
As this edition comes to you the rally season has already begun in the Region One area. The 2022 Gathering in the Desert has taken place in Quartzsite, Arizona. A huge Thank You goes out to Ted & Ruth Ann Hindes for their years of service to the Kountry Klub putting on this large scale event along with their years serving as Arizona State Directors.
In just a couple of weeks at the end of February the California State Rally will be held in San Diego followed a week later by the Golden Aires’ Rally in Temecula, California. The Arizona Sun Catchers’ Rally will be held in Casa Grande the first week in April, followed up a few days later by the New Mexico State Rally in Silver City, New Mexico. The end of April has the California 49ers Rally in Monterey.
Arizona members are having luncheons throughout the winter months in Tucson and Goodyear, Arizona that welcomes all Kountry Klub members. The California Golden Bears Rally is set for the end of September with the Arizona State Rally set for October 6. Please check the Klub Calendar on the website for exact dates and times of these events. Colorado, Nevada and the Region One rallies are now being finalized and will be posted very soon.
Hopefully by now you are already making plans to attend the International Rally in Rock Springs, Wyoming in mid-July. Region One is once again responsible for food service at this year’s International Rally so please sign up at the registration area and volunteer to help serve at least one meal. Your assistance is greatly appreciated, and you get to eat before everyone else!
Region One has recently lost two very valued members. Each were long-time members as well as past officers of the Klub. I ask that you read George & Cheryl Zellers’ Nevada State article for more information on the contributions and passing of our friends. Barbara Rose and Bill Conley – you will be remembered and missed.
