Today marks the beginning of May and I’m writing this article while sitting on the patio with an ice-cold glass of tea. It’s 90 degrees – too early for that! With such limited rainfall on the west coast this year I fear it will be another bad fire season for us.
On a positive note, the U.S. seems to slowly be awakening from the COVID hibernation. More and more of us are getting vaccinated and that is truly showing positive effects on the spread of the virus. Our county had 0 new cases yesterday! That’s the first time since this whole thing started over a year ago, awesome!!
Mary & I very recently attended two Newmar rallies in Region One, the Arizona Suncatchers and the California State Rally. Even with both rallies having limited availability of sites due the CDC guidelines, both went off without a hitch. Boy was it nice to see old friends and meet a few new ones at the rallies. I’ll let you read more about the rallies in their articles – but a huge thank you to the Duane Paige & Laurie Hunt and all the Suncatchers’ officers and to Bob & Teresa Solomon-Billings as California State Directors for two great rallies.
With this article we are announcing three more 2021 rallies in Region One:
- Arizona State Rally – October 19-24 – Casa Grande, Arizona
- Region One Rally – October 26-29 – Benson, Arizona (limited to 25 coaches)
- Joint Nevada State/Mother Lode Chapter Rally – October31-November 3 (limited to 20 coaches)
Adding these three rallies gives us a total of 7 regional rallies still to come for 2021, and also the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Even with some minor limitations, there is now opportunity to get those wheels turning on the coach and visit with your Newmar family.
For those of you attending the International Rally in West Virginia please volunteer at registration to assist with food service at the rally. No, we do not do the cooking – we serve the food and keep the lines moving. On top of that food service volunteers get to eat first! Thanks in advance for your help.
Please get vaccinated so we can “See you down the road,”
