It has been a while since we have written to you. We have been staying home and staying safe by practicing social distancing when we can. However, 2020 has probably been one of our worst years. We have had four of our family members that we have been helping with health issues. We lost a sister-in-law in September that had been in a nursing home.

There were a couple highlights for us in 2020. On July 4th, our oldest son got married in a very beautiful outdoor wedding in the middle of a pecan orchard at his in-law’s farm in Roswell. In August/September we went on a 19-day RV trip with Jim & Lorie Landers to Jackson, Wyoming and West Yellowstone, Montana. That was our only RV trip for 2020. We had to cancel four other trips.

We have not yet made plans for a 2021 New Mexico Chile Pepper Rally. We have discussed the possibility of having a 2021 rally with the New Mexico State Directors (the Landers). We are deferring our decision until this spring. A lot will depend the State of New Mexico Governor’s Orders. At this time New Mexico State Parks have reopened for day use following social distancing guidelines for in-state residents only. Most established campgrounds remain closed during this time, but some private campgrounds are reopening.

A couple of highlights for us in 2021 will be: our new daughter-in-law will be delivering our 6th grandchild at the end of April and in January 2021 we plan to finally break ground on our new home in Roswell.

We look forward to hosting another rally for you in New Mexico in 2021, along with our co-hosts, Jim & Lorie Landers, the New Mexico State Directors.
