As we write this article summer is coming to a close. We hope that everyone reading this had some great summer travel experiences in their Newmar. We sure did with a great RV trip to Utah and Colorado bracketed by our New Mexico State rally at Angel Fire in June and the New Mexico Chile Peppers rally at Santa Fe in August. Ron and Cindy Miller put on a great event and we had a wonderful time with old friends and new. Now fall beckons us with cooler weather, changing colors, RV travel and the International rally at Syracuse New York.
All in all, the Newmar Kountry Klub in New Mexico had a very good year thus far. We want to thank our New Mexico owners and the continued support and advice we have enjoyed from them and our friends throughout Region One.
To keep things moving, planning is already underway for 2020 and we are excited to announce the preliminary details for the New Mexico state rally. The rally will be held from Thursday June 18th through Monday June 22nd (four nights). Save these dates! It will take place in beautiful northern New Mexico at Sky Mountain RV Resort in Chama, the home of the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad. The railroad began operations in 1880 and offers a variety of steam locomotive day train trips through the mountains of northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. ”USA Today 10 Best” readers say the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad is the best train ride in North America.
In addition to a train ride outing we are planning to visit the famous Ghost Ranch, home of one of America’s most renowned artists, Georgia O’Keefe. We will tour the grounds and museums and also take a coach tour which will take us to various sites on the ranch where we will observe the actual vistas captured in some of her paintings.
Watch the Newmar Country Klub Calendar and future Konnection issues for more details. Also if you would like details sooner just send us an email jplanders22@gmail.com and we will put you on our rally info distribution list.
Meanwhile we hope to see you at the International.
