Nevada State Directors

Much has happened here in Region One since our last article. We submitted our article before the Nevada State/Mother Lode Rally. The park’s kitchen and dining areas were closed. All the cooking, preparing and eating were done al fresco. Eating outside turned out to be a blessing due to the fantastic weather we had. As the sun set, God put on a beautiful show with the clouds and sun.

Tragedy struck Bob & Barbara Rose as they traveled home from the rally. While members of the Kountry Klub, they were past California State Directors and were part of a group that formed the Golden Bears Chapter as well as the Mother Lode Chapter here in Nevada. They had an accident while traveling in their RV. Both of them were air lifted to two hospitals in Las Vegas. Bob suffered minor injuries while Barbara’s were more severe. She was in the hospital seven weeks and lost her battle. The injury she had on her left leg became infected and she came down with pneumonia. Bob was by her side every day except for a quick trip to their home. Their daughter has setup a “Go Fund Me” page. The Link is HERE. Donations will be used to cover Bob’s cost while staying close to Barbara.

We also lost Bill Conway. Bill & his wife Sue were past presidents of the California Golden Aires, and they were past California State Directors. Bill & Sue teamed up and took photos of all those attending the rallies that they attended. To this day we refer back to the photos on the rally face pages that they made.

We do not have any firm news to report about the 2022 Nevada Rally. The thoughts are to have it again in Southern Nevada. We hope to have several interesting things to do and see. Please check our next article as well as the calendar on the Kountry Klub website for updates.
