By the time everyone receives the August – September 2022 Newmar Kountry Klub Legacy, the International Rally in Rock Springs, Wyoming will be over. After the rally, weather dependent, some members may have taken advantage of being in Rock Springs/Green River by extending time there to explore or by heading to locations other than “home.” With the price of fuel being so high it was a good idea to make the most out of your existing trip.

While driving their Newmar Motorhomes to or from the International Rally, we hope that none of our NKK members experienced the dreaded DEF head fiasco and the safety issues that it produces. DEF sensor failure is associated with the “Check Engine” light and showing three fault codes that cause immediate “derate” which is an instant and progressive slowing of the engine function.

It is already summer and fall will soon be upon us ,so it is time to check the NKK Klub Calendar and decide which rallies you would like to attend before winter.

Remember to head over to the October 24th Nevada State Rally at the Lake Mead RV Village Park which is in the Lake Mead National Recreational Area. The rally dates are: arrival on October 24 and departure on October 27. The RV Park is within a National Park, so be sure to bring your US Park “Senior Pass” (or you pay a fee to enter). Among other venues, there is an extra cost optional tour of the Carrol Shelby Museum and Manufacturing area.

When you travel be safe and be prepared for high winds and summer road repairs. Prepare your Rig and Toad accordingly for expected high summer temperatures.
