Greetings from Northern California. The Golden Bears 2021 Rally is full steam ahead, we have full access to the club house, Yahoo! For everyone who is coming, please remember to put together a raffle prize per each coach in the $30-$40 value range to donate to our raffle. All proceeds from our raffle and any overage from the rally will be donated equally to the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The dates are: checking in Monday the 27th of September, checking out Friday, October 1st. It’s a four night, five day rally. It will be held at the Jackson Rancheria Casino RV Park, 12224 New York Ranch Rd, Jackson, CA 95642. The rally fee is $395 for two people, $290 for one person and includes four nights camping, two nights (Monday & Thursday) catered dinners, three hot breakfasts and one continental breakfast.
As I am writing this our special 20-year plus one celebration rally is still SOLD OUT. I do have a wait list that is full also.
Penny Nutall will be cooking up some prime rib for us Wednesday evening, along with some salmon for those who don’t eat meat. Sandi and Kathy will organize with everyone on sides, salads and desserts to contribute to our feast. Also, for Wednesday evening, Mikuni Japanese Restaurant Group will supply us some of the world’s best sushi and Japanese food to enjoy!
The only meal I don’t have locked down is Tuesday’s evening meal. It was going to be a trip to the buffet on your own $. Good chance the buffet will not be open when we are there. I do believe I have it covered with a sponsor for that evening. I just need to confirm the details before it’s officially in the plan. Panera Bread will be supplying us a wonderful Continental breakfast for us Friday morning.
Don’t forget your dancing shoes Thursday night. We will be rocking out with the band KCM Band. They play just about every Classic Rock and Country tune you might like to hear. If you would like to sing your favorites with the band, that’s their specialty. We will have a long list of each genre to pick from.
We plan on having a Putting Green Challenge, so bring your putter, along with a Corn Hole Competition.
The Golden Bears are looking for someone to step up and lead our group next year 2022. If you are thinking it might be for you, please let me know. I can fill you in on what’s required. I will gladly help the new presidents set up next year’s rally if needed. I’m getting involved more in my Elks Lodge RV club and my Traveling Blues Music RV Group.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
We can be reached at email firstname.lastname@example.org or cell 916-99-2986.
