The Kruisin Aires held their annual June rally at the Royal Gorge KOA, June 13 -17. We had 12 coaches and 23 people attending. Several 4-legged friends (dogs), also came along for the fun. We took a beautiful, scenic train ride through the Royal Gorge on Friday. This was the first time for many of our members, even though most have lived in Colorado for a long time. We also visited the Colorado Prison Museum in Canon City. We had several really good meals and played a few card games. During free time on Sunday, some members went to see the Royal Gorge Bridge, which spans the 1000-foot-deep gorge. On Monday morning everyone said good-bye and headed home or to other destinations in their Newmar motorhomes.
As we were getting ready to submit this article, we were saddened to hear about the passing of Bill Poppert, on June 14, 2019. Bill & Jayne were very active in our club for many years and served as President for approximately five years. We extend our sympathy to Jayne and her family.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Bill on Friday, August 16, from 2-5pm, at the Wings Over the Rockies Museum in Denver. Jayne’s address is: 65485 So. Canyon Dr.; Tucson, AZ 85739
