California Golden Bears – President
Happy New Year fellow Golden Bears Kountry Klub members and friends. I am so happy to report that our 2022 Golden Bears Rally will be Monday, September 26 – Friday, September 30. There are still reservations available. Once again, we will be at the Jackson Rancheria RV Park located at 1224 New York Ranch Road, Jackson, CA 95642. Camping fee is $255 for 4-day stay. Joline at Jackson Rancheria is asking that each rally attendee make their reservation through her. You can contact her at 209-223-8354. If you would like to stay a few extra days, she can arrange that for you too. This would be the best way to secure the same campsite for your complete stay. The rally costs will be posted soon.
The 2021 raffle was a great success, so we will continue with the tradition. Once again, each coach is asked to bring a raffle prize valued between $30-$40. These items will be raffled in order to raise money for a charity to be decided by the group at the rally.
You will be served four (4) breakfasts and four (4) dinners which is included in the cost of the rally. You will be asked to bring one of your favorite dishes to one of the meals which will be determined in the future. It is always great to share new menu items with each other.
There will be some returning activities as well as new ones. The Putting Green was a favorite as well as a morning craft activity. This year the ladies have asked to create a cute porch sign. I will send more information on that activity as we get closer to the rally. Janie from The Biggest Little Kitchen Store has a fun activity lined up for us during one of our social hours. There are a lot of prizes to win!!! Tom Chelbana will offer a seminar on “Everything You Wanted to Know About RV’s But Were Afraid to Ask.” He will add a little twist to this also. There will be so many fun happenings and some down time to rest as well.
