California Golden Bears – President

I hope this finds you all doing well. However, I have some sad news. Kathy Wilson, our former Vice President, passed away February 8. She was a fantastic, positive influence on all who knew her. Our condolences go out to Chuck and their family.

I am excited to say we have some expenses worked out for the 2022 Golden Bears Rally. We will be gathering September 26-30 once again at the Jackson Rancheria in Jackson, California. The rally fees are $250.00 for two and $125.00 for one person. Please make your check payable to Lee Burkhouse and send it to Lee at 101 Rocky Cove Court, Folsom, CA 95630. He will not be able to deposit/cash your check if you make your check out to Newmar Kountry Klub. Reservations for the rally are due June 30th. Just a reminder all camping reservations this year must be made with Joline at Jackson Rancheria. Her number is (209) 223-8354. If you would like to stay longer, let Joline know, and she can make those accommodations for you.

We will have some returning activities from last year including a porch sign project which the ladies chose last year, the Putting Green competition, Corn Hole, and Card BINGO. Tom Chelbana will present his “Everything You Wanted to Know About RV’s But Were Afraid to Ask” seminar. In addition, there are two new activities: The Biggest Little Kitchen Store will be joining us from Jackson for a potluck social hour. There will be a magnitude of free prizes and lots of fun. Tom Chelbana will be conducting a motorhome scavenger hunt. You’ll like this one, MORE PRIZES.

I have secured the Keep On Truckin’ band from last year for Thursday evening entertainment.
You will be served four (4) breakfasts and four (4) dinners which is included in the cost of the rally. There will be time available so you can rest and explore the area. This should be a memorable fun experience for all.
