Greetings from the Golden State. First, as always, Teresa & I hope all is well with you, your family and friends. We wish for you good health, prosperity and a hell of a good time for your end of summer RV plans. What, you’re feeling great but have no plans on RVing for the end of summer? Un-American, I say. Get out there and fight for those few remaining RV spaces at the parks or resorts. This pandemic buying of family RV’s will settle down someday and hopefully some sense of normal life will be on the horizon. Yeah, I said normal life, but I’m hoping the Mars rover Perseverance can reserve me some RV space.
Anyway, the Newmar 35th International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia is over and we are looking forward to next year’s rally in Rock Springs, Wyoming. But since I’m writing this on June 10, six-week before the rally, I can only say, I believe it was a great and enjoyable success. But I’m sure it was a successful because I was there and did my duty of volunteering and supporting the Newmar Kountry Klub and Region One. Did you support and volunteer to make it successful and enjoyable for all who attended? I’m sure you did, so let’s continue this and make any and all chapter, state, region and International rallies in 2022 a major success.
Ok, what is coming up so far next year in the great state of California? I mean as far as the NKK is concerned! Well, the California State Rally is scheduled for February 2022 in Chula Vista, the Golden Aires Rally is scheduled for March 2022 in Indio and the 49ers Rally is scheduled for April 2022 in Monterey. WOW, three back-to-back rallies. Let’s get out there and support each one. (Yes, out-of-state people are welcome to join us). Just check out the NKK website for dates and additional information.
Now for the really good stuff. As you have always wondered and have been asking yourself, what is the California State Directors up to these days. Well, without bragging we are rolling along the highway in our wonderful Newmar Dutch Star. Currently we are tail gunners on a Lewis and Clark tour and learning about their discovery tour. Wow, the beauty of the country we are seeing is amazing and wondering what it would be like to be a member of the discovery tour. Anyway, after, we have to haul buns to West Virginia for the International and after, we are checking out the east coast for a few months. When our fun time is over, we are heading north to play with polar bears. That is if Canada lets us in. Oh, I did sign Teresa up for polar bear wrestling, so place your bets.
Anyway, it’s time to end this because I have been given an early deadline for the article submission. So, until the next fun and exciting California State Directors news article, stay safe, keep those tires rolling along the highway and party on!
