Verde Ranch RV Resort will be home base for the Arizona Sun Catchers’ Rally March 18-22, and what a gorgeous home base it is! The view is spectacular with only mountains and mesas as far as you can see!
Due to the uncertainty that the COVID pandemic and associated safety protocols will entail, we’ve summarized the key registration information below. Details and the supporting rationale and discussion follow for your use and as your interests allow. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again in March!

- This deposit is refundable through Saturday, February 20.
Discussion: After meeting as a chapter board, we found we all shared a common concern of what March will bring in terms of COVID and COVID protocols. At the same time, we were all missing being able to get together with each other to visit in community. Since we are unable to predict the future, we are preparing rally plans that will allow us to gather in this time of uncertainty.
With your participation, we are being flexible in our plans, and we ask that you be flexible with us. Our plan is to have as many activities as safely possible, depending upon virus protocols, as a “modified pop-up rally”. We will have more details in the end of February timeframe on how it will work as we better understand what our “new semi-normal” will look like.
Costs:
- RV Park Campsite Fees (same under any COVID scenario that allows a rally).
- Verde Ranch Reservation cost for the rally March 18-22 is $248.83.
- 50 amp, full hook-ups.
- All sites co-located together near the clubhouse.
- For adding additional nights of stay, you may want to consider looking into the seven (7) night rate of $303.00.
We want to avoid collecting money and then having to refund said money due to changes in rally activities as a result of COVID. We will therefore collect rally fees after arrival in Cottonwood, not ahead of the rally as is the usual practice. We will communicate our expected activities and associated costs for sign-up near the end of February timeframe.
- Modified “Pop-Up” Rally Fees.
- Actual activities and associated costs communicated in the end of February timeframe.
- We anticipate a range of between $0 – $250.
- $0 rally fee means that all meals and activities are for you to explore on your own on an individual self-funded basis.
- List of resources for local attractions, restaurants and activities will be provided.
- Organized social events in outdoor open areas.
- Everyone can bring meals to a coordinated spot to share a meal.
- People can choose to organize and pitch in to bring in pizza or similar food for the meal.
- Food trucks do visit the park on weekends and the food is really good if there is interest in that.
- Up to $250 for limited number of organized meals and group activities.
- Some of the activities that we had planned for last year’s cancelled rally, included: The Copper Art Museum, Camp Verde History Presentation, and possibly other speaker opportunities as they are available.
- We expect the costs most likely to be on the lower side to middle range of the above.
- Social distancing with personal protective equipment, unfortunately, is expected for all rally participants.
We ask that you please register on the NKK website by February 1 so that we have a chance to see what our attendance will be for planning purposes. We are trying to handle things in a responsible, socially distant way so that we can both, still gather and be safe at the same time! Thanks for joining us, we will have fun no matter what!
