I saw a sign the other day that said, “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful” author unknown
This sure does run true to RVing. We face many challenges while in our RV’s from minor issues, detours, breakdowns, unsuitable camp sites and one of everyone’s greatest fears having to unhook the tow vehicle for tight maneuvers. But as RVers we overcome them with a lot of patience and ingenuity.
In April/May just as many flocks of birds migrate back north after spending there winters south in warmer climates, so do the RV snowbirds (snowbird – are typically retirees who wish to avoid snow and cold temperatures and migrate to warmer climates for the winter months) so please drive carefully as you return home for the summer. May you be blessed this Easter by spending time with your family and friends.
Events Cancelled Due to Health Concerns:
- Manitoba Krocus Klub – Bry-Mar Campground and RV Park – May 20-23
- Alberta Wild Rose Klub – Old McDonalds Resort, Buffalo Lake – May 22-25
- Region Nine – Elks lodge, Salmon Arm, BC – May 26-29
- British Columbia Provincial & Dogwood Klub – Salish Seaside RV Haven, Victoria BC – June 3-6
As you are making your summer travel plans, remember the NKK international rally will be held in Rock Springs, Wyoming, August 22-29. This is a brand-new location in Wyoming so let’s see how many Region Nine members we can have attend, it is sure to be a great location. If there is enough interest a caravan could be put together to travel down and park together as a group. This was done very successfully in the past. For an example from Penticton, British Columbia Rock Springs is a mere 1000 miles or about 16 hours drive.
As always, our door is always open, and we look forward to all comments and suggestions. We can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 604.916.776.
We meet, we part, we meet again
