I saw a sign the other day….. “Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller” – Author IBN Battuta.
For RV travelers this sure rings true, we all have so many stories to tell from our favorite camping spots to the routes we travel, the friendships we have made along the way and not to forget all the information, and helpful hints we share about our Newmar products. Just the other day I discovered a way to have more hot water for a longer shower….We have the older propane hot water tank system and always seem to run out of hot water. Now we have lots.
At the time we are composing this article the borders are to remain closed at least one more month. As COVID restrictions are lifted across our region in western Canada it appears making a reservation for campgrounds will be very difficult as everyone want to get outdoors for a staycation.
It is for this reason we are unable to attend the International Rally and we will certainly miss this for sure. We have been to the last 11 rallies as regional directors and a few before that as well. I can say with a great amount of certainty that these rallies are all coined to be two pound rallies, meaning you going to gain two pounds due to all the great food you eat.
We would like to send out special congratulations to BC Dogwood Chapter on their 25th Anniversary and look forward to the celebrations at the September rally.
For those of you who have been following Starlink mobile internet, it appears they are still on track to be release this fall/winter. Following is a photo of starlink satellite as they are launched that you might see in the evening sky as they make their way into orbit. I am confident that once the mobile version is developed that we RV’ers will be able to have great fast and unlimited internet. There is a Starlink Canada Facebook page you can check out to keep updated.
Dates to Remember
