I am sure that everyone’s 4TH of July was pretty quiet this year. We will make up for it next year.
We did meet Paul and Judy Swing in Beresford, SD to transfer the Region Four items on May 30th. It was great to see them again. We picked up lunch at the Subway and went to the park where we were the only people. Safer that way. And of course we wore our mask.
Del was finally able to have his surgery for his severe spinal stenosis. It was an outpatient surgery in Sioux Falls, SD on June 15th, he is already walking better and straighter. He still had pain as he also needed to have rotor cuff repair on his right shoulder. That was also outpatient surgery performed in Sioux Falls, on June 24th. He had to wear a sling on his right arm night and day for 6 weeks of course he is “right handed”. Before each surgery he had a COVID 19 test which were negative thank heaven, or he could not have had his surgeries.
The grandsons have been a great help to us this summer. Alex was home early from college and Andy a senior in high school was out of school early as well because of the Coronavirus. They are both hoping to go to Brooking, SD when the SDSU opens up again. They both finished out their school year online as all the rest of the children did in our nation this year.
Certainly, hope everyone has been well and stays that way.
