Greetings from Minnesotans snow birding in Surprise, Arizona. We had to admit it did not take long for us to adjust to the snow birding lifestyle! As opposed to winterizing our motorhome for six months, we enjoyed our RV resort in Arizona, plus we’ve traveled to Pasadena, California for the Tournament of Roses Parade and events, enjoyed a pyrotechnics event in Lake Havasu called Winter Blast, and attended the California State Rally in San Diego. Our marvelous home on wheels provides countless opportunities to go, see and do wherever and whatever ignites our curiosity. We’ve nicknamed our motorhome our “Magic Carpet Ride.” With all the places we’ve been, it sure feels like one to us. The Newmar Kountry Klub has many opportunities for fun and adventure throughout the country, all twelve months a year. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to go, see and do More! “We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
The Minnesota Loons first chapter rally of the season will take place May 9-12 at the St. Cloud Campground and RV Park. Please call the campground at 320-251-4463 to reserve your site, and then register for the rally on the Kountry Klub website. The Loons have a second rally scheduled for Sunday, June 5th, departing Wednesday, June 8th. We will be camping at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls. Activities will include a bus tour of Otter Tail County, a stop for lunch, ending with a visit to the Otter Tail County Historical Society. There will also be a pontoon boat ride, weather permitting. Please contact Dawn Clark, 218-770-7253 or email dmclark@prtel.com to register before May 12.
In July we look forward to the International Rally in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Plans are being finalized for the Minnesota State Rally in August. The Region Four Rally takes place in beautiful Lanesboro, Minnesota on September 15-18. Please check the Klub calendar for additional details and rallies to participate in.
Wishing everyone a safe and pleasurable rally season. Do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions, 651-470-8864 or dabraham965@gmail.com.
