Virginia Wheels – Presidents
Hello Virginia Wheels. Happy spring! We have plowed through winter and welcomed springtime temperatures and blooming flowers! The winters seem to get a little longer each year and this last winter was one of the coldest and wettest I remember for our snowbird season in Florida. I know we are all glad that is behind us as we look forward to warm weather and traveling in our Newmar motorhomes.
Our Virginia Beach Rally was quite successful. We had twenty-three motorhomes attending and everyone had a fun time. The harbor cruise and buffet luncheon were a hit, and everyone had a wonderful time. Gloria & I hope you all had as much fun attending as we did by being your rally host. A big thank you to Ron & Ulaine Pelton who provided major help and support for this rally. We always look forward to spending time and fellowship with our Virginia Wheels Family.
Speaking of Virginia Wheels Family, we lost a long-time member, Bruce Cosimini this year. He will be missed. Bruce always made every rally he attended a lot of fun and could be counted on to be the life of the party at each event. Rest In Peace my friend.
Our State Director, Mike Vreeland is hosting the Virginia State Rally September 23-26 at Misty Mountain Camp Resort, 56 Misty Mountain Road, Greenwood, Virginia. Please call the campground at 540-456-6409 for your campground reservations and register online at NewmarKountryKlub.com for the rally. Mike always hosts a fun filled rally. Also, Charlie & Deane Grebinger are hosting another Virginia Wheels/North Carolina Tarheels/ South Carolina Palmetto Pals Mayberry Rally August 15-18 in Mount Airy, North Carolina. We had a huge turnout last year and ended up having to turn down some members due to limits of vendors, etc. So, they are doing another one this year for all those who missed it last year and those who want another fun filled rally. Thank you, Charlie & Deane. We are so lucky to have you both in our club and the NKK.
Gloria & I have a summer packed with travel. We are heading to Colorado a week early to meet my brother and sister-in-law for ATV riding and camping, then back across the pass to the International Rally. When we leave there, we will head to Texas and Oklahoma to see our kids and grandkids. Returning in time to get a few things done before heading back west to the Albuquerque Balloon Festival.
Travel safe and have fun. We look forward to seeing you on the road. We can be reached at tomrezentes@comcast.net Cell Phone 804-892-7727.
