The Carolinas (NC/SC) – State Directors
Hey, y’all! Welp – the 2022 Carolinas State Rally is history, and as always, it was great to see old friends and meet some new ones. With 35 attendees (17 coaches), we had a good mix of “seasoned” members and first-timers; some-timers, most-timers, and full-timers; “local” (SC/NC) members and members from Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Georgia. We were honored to have our NKK International Directors, Ron & Wanda Llewellyn, our Region Five Directors, Gary & Wanda Smith, and officers from both the North and South Carolina chapters in attendance. If you find yourself near Columbia, South Carolina and in need of a campground, we recommend River Bottom Farms Family Campground. It truly is family (mother and daughter) owned. They offer large campsites, a tranquil atmosphere –located about 30-miles west of the South Carolina State Capitol City.
As we compose this article, we are relaxing after traveling to New Bern for the Tarheel Kountry Rally. We are looking forward to spending time in this historic part of North Carolina and once again, spending time with our Newmar family.
Like so many of you, we will be heading west at the end of June to attend the 36th Annual NKK International Rally in Rock Springs, Wyoming. It’s about a 2,000-mile trip for us, but we are allotting enough time to enjoy the sites along the way. We’ve also taken advantage of the “stay and play” opportunity and plan to spend two extra weeks at the Sweetwater Events Complex to fully absorb that amazingly beautiful part of the country. We hope to see about 1,000 of our closest friends (aka: y’all) there!
As a reminder, if you haven’t joined your local NKK chapter, you’re missing out on a lot of fun, food and fellowship – and often, opportunities to learn more (and/or help others learn more) about our Newmar coaches. If you live in North or South Carolina and are not a member of the Tarheel Kountry Klub or the Palmetto Pals, we’d love to have you join our family. Please contact us for membership information; our phone numbers and e-mail addresses are included below.
Happy travels, y’all … to wherever your Newmar takes you!
