Hello from the Tennessee – Volunteer Kruiser Chapter! At this time of year, I usually suggest that everyone pull out their to-do list to make sure that we’ve not missed anything. Hopefully, everyone has had a chance to enjoy all the available summertime rallies that were on our list. The weather is beginning to cool off a bit, and that only makes it more enjoyable to sit outside in our easy chair with a cold beverage and watch our campground neighbors and the world go by.
Number one on my to-do list is to let everyone know that the Volunteer Kruiser chapter now has a new Vice-President, Bill Mannion. Bill has recently moved from the east coast and has graciously volunteered to fill a need. I look forward to working with him and getting together to create some new ideas for our chapter. Additionally, our Newmar International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia has yielded 15 new members to our chapter. That’s 30 more people to enjoy!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the rally hosts, co-hosts and most importantly the rally attendees. We all know that without attendees, you can’t have a successful rally. Our summer has been full, attending many of the various Newmar rallies scattered about. We are now thinking about which place to see next, before the weather turns cold and the snow starts to fly.
As this year progresses, many of our chapters are winding down and have a few things to accomplish before the year ends. Be sure to check out the Klub Calendar to see any upcoming rallies. Region Five has a great rally coming soon that is hosted by Gary & Wanda Smith, our Region Five Directors. This rally is always a must see/must attend event.
Also important are the chapter elections coming up in the next few months. Please take a few moments to consider volunteering for one of your chapter officers’ positions or any of the support positions that may exist in your chapter. Many chapters have membership committees, newsletters, greeting card/support committee members and various smaller tasks that are easily done by someone other than the chapter officers. Any little bit helps and this is a great way to get to know your membership. Don’t forget, you too can create and host or co-host a rally or luncheon. This is a valuable task that should be enjoyed by the chapter membership and should not always fall on your chapter officers.
Now, Thank You for taking the time to read your Legacy. More to come next time. We can be reached at SherynWard@gmail.com.
