We remember hosting a state rally at Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch years ago in August and the outside temperature was 108 degrees! Yikes! I promised we would forever skip hosting August rallies.
As you read this you may have departed Rock Springs and are wandering around the western states. We are back home, recouping from a much-needed shoulder replacement. Modern medicine is truly wonderful in fix’en old peoples’ skeletal parts.
Rock Springs and NKK 36th International Rally is in the history books, and hopefully those of you who took a bank loan for fuel enjoyed yourselves. We did! Bank loan (not so much) and fun time, oh yes!! This probably was our last western trip for a while. We enjoyed the Royal Gorge pre-rally tour. We enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting and making new ones. That is what NKK is all about – building relationships and lifelong friends.
We arrived early for the pre-rally tour and then got busy setting up the 2023 new units. Newmar Engineering really out do themselves each year with new innovations.
Did y’all enjoy the Tri-State/Tennessee git together? (Yes, I meant to say “Git”). A Banana Split in a CUP, is something we, Charlene & I, experienced years ago in Mt Pleasant, Tennessee on a hot summer day. We and our kids had a memorable time that afternoon. Jim & Barb Watson, our Tri-State Directors, and we did this in Sedalia at the 2017 NKK International Rally and thought we would do it again! We all like ice cream!!!! YOU SCREAM, I SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!
2023…Never too soon to plan ahead. Our 2023 Tennessee State Rally registration was posted on the NKK website two months ago, and we are filling up fast. June 5-10, 2023 we will be enjoying the “Hills and Hollows” of southern Middle Tennessee. Come join us at Stoney Creek Travel Park, Cornersville, Tennessee.
