Region Five Directors
As I write this article we are at the Mid-South Tri-State Rally in Gadsden, Alabama. We have had so much fun for the last three weeks.
We started in the Sarasota, Florida with the Florida State Rally. This was an action-packed event hosted by Greg & Margie Harrop, Florida State Directors. They met the challenge of the catered meals. Last October at the Region Rally the caterer served our meals on real glass plates with silverware. Well, the caterer at this event did as well. The food was excellent and the camaraderie among members was awesome.
We left there to drive to Sevierville, Tennessee for the Tennessee State Rally. Phil & Charlene did not disappoint, even though they had to do this rally from a hotel room. The coach did not get out of the shop. This is such a busy area. The dinner theaters we attended, along with the meals at the clubhouse surely made this a five-pounder event. Two Rivers Landing RV Resort is located on the French Broad River with beautiful views from the front windshield. I would recommend this park if you are in the area.
From Tennessee we traveled to Gadsden, Alabama where Jim & Barb Watson had planned and executed another rally to remember. Jim’s opening night shrimp boil did not disappoint. As with the other two events, the Newmar member interactions are why we love the Newmar Kountry Klub.
This is the first time that we have done the three state rallies back-to-back. It has been pretty exhausting. I know you understand what 5 + 5 + 5=15 means. It means when we get home the diet is going to change drastically.
I also need to say that this three week of rallying was preceded by the Carolinas States Rally hosted by Carl & Gayle Webber. The food and fellowship were off the charts. I could change my math above by adding another 5 that we had not shed prior to the three in a row.
We are not going to be able to attend the Virginia State Rally, hosted by Michael Vreeland. I know that those in attendance will have a great time. Michael puts on an awesome rally that never disappoints. Sorry for not being there, but we had a family conflict.
Region Five has the best State Directors anyone could ask for. Thanks to each of them and to the NKK membership for supporting the Klub. I truly believe that the Klub adds to the enjoyment we get out of our beautifully crafted homes provided by Newmar Corporation.
