It has been so great to get back to a somewhat normal Spring Rally season.
We began in Vidalia, Louisiana and Natchez, Mississippi for the Mid-South Tri-State Rally. What a great location. We could have spent days just sitting at the campground watching the barge and riverboat traffic on the Mississippi River. The visits to historical antebellum homes and to a real cotton plantation was just icing on the cake. And yes, the food at the event was outstanding.
Newmar seating for dining was adhered to as well as the local requirements for masks. Hosts Jim & Barb Watson did an outstanding job on this event. We look forward to next year.
Our next event was the Florida State Rally in Panama City Beach, Florida. Our dining for the first few days was outside under a nice shelter. The last two days we were in the Emerald Coast RV Resort club house due to severe storms and temperature. The area had no limitations on numbers for seating and masks were not required.
Greg & Margie did an awesome job. Greg has a magical way of coming up with door prizes for everyone. I know you will hear about this in their article.
Now we were off to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Phillip Melvin & Becky Garner had planned this for 2020 but like everything else it was canceled.
As all of you probably know Phillip made the ultimate trip home to be with his maker last year. Phillips’s son and Becky were present for a presentation of appreciation plaques for Phillip & Becky’s long standing service to the NKK.
Carl & Gayle Webber did a great job in hosting this event. We had good food and learned a lot about the local area. We can’t wait until we see what they have in store for us next year.
As I write this, we are home but only for a few days before we go to Columbus, Georgia for a PSK rally. We look forward to the Tennessee State Rally the first of June.
In closing Wanda & I want to say that we have the best State Directors anyone could ask for. Thank you so much for your service to the NKK. This is not to take away from all of our membership that is always ready to pitch in and help to make the NKK the best RV Social Klub anywhere. Thanks to all!
